Ive always, since i was little, had problems with ingrown toenails, always my big toes. But for long i havent had a problem with it until about a year back. It took a few months to heal, about six months. After that i always made sure not to cut it too short and cut it straight. And so about 2-3 weeks ago i got irritated with the fact that i cant cut them short and then i just went ahead and decided im gonna cut it short! So her i sit, 3 weeks later wit a damn ingrown toenail! =( its a lot bettes than it was a week a few days ago... But a few days ago a saw like kind of a piece of hardened loose skin wedged between my nail and the skin on my toe and i pulled it out with a tweezer, i didnt have any pain while doing so. Anyway, and now at that corner where i took out the piece of skin i see theres some dry blood and yellow puss coming out? The puss ive had before but no bleeding? Ingrown nails is always sore but i have no unusual pain, at this stage its more sensitive only when n bump it or touch it hard. Anyway, is the bleeding normal? Ive cleaned it and put some anti-septic oitment on. Did the piece of skin actually created a barrier between my nail and my flesh, like protection? Is that maybe why it started to bleed when n took it out? Should i just leave the nail to grow 'out' again like i did last time? Sorry if all this sounds gross =( Also, do any of you have any tips? Do's and dont's? Thanks! Oh, if you dont mind, maybe answer my other question aswell? =) http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100304014826AAkiAsF
