Ok... before i start i know this is disgusting and I'm very ashamed of it, that's why I'm asking on here, to see if someone can help. Well it all started when i was about 15. I had a pair of K-Swiss Tongue Twister trainers and one day i was putting them on when the tongue got stuck in the trainer so i tried to pull the tongue out with my foot still in the trainer and it took my nail off. The regrowth turned a funny greeny yellow (more deep green, but some parts yellow) colour and looked thick and layered. I thought this was fungal so i went to my GP, who agreed that it was probably the case but advised me to take some nail clippings so they could be tested to confirm that it was fungal so she could give me treatment. I did this on two occasions, but both times the tests came back clear, it meant that i couldn't be treated and i was very confused. Fed up with the unsightly, disgusting nail, I eventually pulled it off, but not all the way because of the pain. With fear of it becoming infected, I went to the hospital to get it pulled off completely. I explained to the doctor that tests had come back clear and he told me that it was not fungal and the reason it was like that was because the nail was damaged. Anyway, with the nail now gone, I was expecting the regrowth to be healthy. It was healthy, but now has a yellowish tint and instead the big toe nail on the other foot ended up the same (Deep green, yellowish). Why on one foot and now the other?? Today, I pulled the nail that was green off, like the last time but have managed to get it off completely this time. It was painful, but it's better than having horrid nails and wasting my time getting them tested just for them to come back clear again. I'm so ashamed of it!. With any luck it will grow back healthy. Does anyone know why this is happening???Thank you. (And please, no stupid answers!)

When I cut my toe nails, the clippings are yellow. It's weird because my toenails aren't yellow. They're pink and white like normal nails are supposed to be. Could something be wrong?

Yahoo won't let me post a link to a picture of my toe, I'll try to add it later.Description: Toenail is clearly a tinge yellow compared to other toes, right side is messy with blood and some type of pus, it crusts over on a daily basis. Toe is slightly swollen and a tinge of pink around the toenail. My toe has been looking somewhat like this for about a year, but in the past few months it has gotten quite a bit worse. It's very sore if it gets hit by anything, but I can go through the day normally without any pain, including running. If it gets hit, even by a sock, it's the type of pain when you stub your toe, really sharp, but goes away after a minute or so.My other foot's big toe had this same issue for awhile, but it wasn't as severe and it went away. I'm looking for advice to help get rid of this without having to go to the doctor. Here is a pic of my toe:http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m210/kingaustin24/Cats/Aug_23_2010_9509.jpgMack: I just graduated from college and my new job has me working 8-6 in a small town, everything is closed by the time I'm off work. I'm covered by health insurance but they still want to charge an arm and a leg each visit, so I've just been dealing with it hoping it would go away like the other one did.

About 5 months ago, whenever i touched the toenail on my bigtoe, on my fight foot, even the slightest of touches, it really REALLY hurt, at that point there was no discolouration. however after that, the pain completely subsided, and i noticed one day that the majority of the toenail was a black, ish colour. it is still the same 5 months later, however i have noticed a yellow-y coloured circle starting to appear and im kinda worried. any ideas what it could be? and how can i treat it!?
I want to know what brand of shoes i recently seen Jessica Alba wearing but i cant remember what event it was. I think she had like blue toenail polish and i remember they had fluro yellow on them aswell, if you had seen them you would remember!!!!

Resolved Question: I can lift my toenail, what to do?

Well, about 2 weeks ago, this wooden, very heavy chair fell on my big toe, and it hurt like hell and it was swollen and after a week I decided to mess with it and I poked the skin under the nail with a sharp object and all this yellow liquid just came out and it kind of smelled bad. Then, I just pushed my nail down to get all the liquid out and I removed the excess skin. Then, today, just now, I messed with it again and I can lift almost the whole nail, besides the right side, I guess the right side is still kind of attached, but besides that part, I can lift the whole nail and I can see the skin underneath it (the nail bed). And ever since I poked it, liquid came out all the time and I just kept cleaning it and it's yellow all the time and it kinda stinks. Also, it doesn't really hurt that much, but when I push down the nail, the left side hurts a little bit, other than that, it doesn't hurt.I just read something that said I should put a band-aid around it, so I did, and the left part hurts a little bit. And now, I don't know what to do, should I go see a doctor, do I have to get my nail removed? I hope not! Any doctors or anyone who has had the same problem? I don't know how to make the nail bed and the nail to stick together, will the band-aid help? Isn't the nail bed and supposed to be attached through the skin? But I can see my nail bed and it's white and soaky now, like how your skin gets after a long bath/shower. HELPP!! I'm worried! I'm currently studying abroad in China, so I don't want to go through another surgery again (last time was appendicitis). =( Thanx guys!and I don't think it's discolored, it's painted so....
